These windows face directly towards the sky and the sun, thus providing a large amount of natural daylight in the rooms. By choosing hinged skylight windows, you will also be able to ventilate the rooms. VELUX non-opening skylight windows have excellent thermal insulation properties - the thermal resistance coefficient Uw starts from 0,72* W/(m2K). Skylight windows are therefore ideal for private homes, schools, kindergartens and offices.
Velux skylights consist of two basic elements. These elements are:
- 15 cm high window construction frame made of easy-care, durable and heat-resistant plastic and energy-efficient double-glazed package with tempered upper and laminated lower glass. PVC profiles provide effective thermal insulation and structural strength. Polystyrene insulation provides effective thermal insulation. On the other hand, the tempered and laminated glass package improves sound insulation and guarantees safety.
- Surface. 3 surface options are available: classic dome (transparent or milky white), flat glass or curved glass surface.

Skylight windows are made of multi-chamber PVC profiles. Its inner surface is white (RAL 9010). The material from which the profiles are made has high acid resistance and very low moisture absorption, so the window can be installed in a wide variety of rooms. Inside the profiles there is insulating material, which additionally improves the energy efficiency parameters of the product. The specially profiled material under the window drop makes it easier to connect the skylight to the roof covering.
