The legislation of the Republic of Latvia stipulates that the owners of online stores must reserve the terms of purchase and return of goods, as well as the right of refusal. Such a disclaimer is called a distance contract, a sample contract is given below.
Model distance contract and terms
The seller of the goods offered in this online store, on the one hand, hereinafter referred to as the Seller, and the person placing the order, hereinafter referred to as the Buyer, on the other hand, conclude the following Agreement:
The Seller undertakes to sell and deliver the goods to the Buyer in accordance with the Buyer's order.
Delivery and payment arrangements
The buyer orders goods using this website, indicating the type and quantity of goods to be ordered. The Seller prepares and sends the order invoice to the Buyer to the specified e-mail address. The invoice is prepared electronically and is valid without a signature.
The seller ensures the delivery of the goods within 2 to 10 working days after receiving the payment for the goods, coordinating the delivery time with the Buyer.

Warranty terms
The warranty for the goods offered in the Seller's Internet store is provided in accordance with the warranty conditions set by the manufacturer of the goods, but not less than 2 years.
Right of return
The buyer has the right to refuse the goods within 14 calendar days from the moment of receipt by sending a letter of refusal to the seller. At the Buyer's request, the Seller sends the rejection letter form to the specified e-mail address.
The buyer is obliged to return the product to the seller within 7 days after sending the letter of refusal. All expenses incurred in connection with sending the goods back to the Seller shall be borne by the Buyer.
The buyer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal if:
1. The ordered goods cannot be returned, they perish quickly or are quickly used up;
2. The ordered goods are made for the Buyer according to an individual order;
3. The buyer has opened the packaging of audio or video recordings or computer programs.
The sixth part of Article 12 of the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia states that "the consumer is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of the product during the period of exercising the right of withdrawal". The Seller reserves the right to refuse the Buyer to use the right of withdrawal or to withhold a compensation fee in case the product is damaged, careless handling of the product during use or not following the instructions, if the product's original packaging is lost or its packaging is significantly damaged.
Data processing
By entering the necessary information and placing the order, the Buyer confirms that he is familiar with and agrees that the data provided by him is used so that the Seller can accept the Buyer's order and deliver the goods in accordance with the legislative requirements of the Republic of Lithuania. By entering the information, the Buyer agrees that notifications related to the processing of the Buyer's order will be sent to the specified e-mail address.
The delivery is carried out and the purchased products can be received:
1. Warehouse in Riga – Mellužu street 13-9;
2. Using freight transport;
3.Using freight transport with an elevator.
