What kind of room is it? Bedroom, bathroom, staircase, living room, etc. Remember - the more daylight enters the room, the bigger it will look. Consider increasing the window size or combining them. Consider the shape and size of the room when choosing the number of windows and their location. In a deep room, it is better to place the windows higher on the roof. In a wider room, a row of windows should be placed with equal intervals between them.

Choose the opening method. Low installation height, up to 90 cm - skylights with a handle at the top. High installation height, from 150cm - skylights with a handle at the bottom.

Choose the interior decoration. White polyurethane is perfect for modern interiors and white ceilings. Ideal for wet rooms such as the kitchen or bathroom. Polyurethane protective coating provides a moisture-resistant roof window finish. Or lacquered pine – Ideal for traditional interiors. High quality natural pine. A triple coating of transparent varnish protects the wooden surface.

Consider glazing options. Roof window glazing provides thermal insulation, sound insulation, additional strength and protection

Choose a set of waterproofing and installation accessories. Installation accessories are required for correct, quick and safe installation of the skylight. In order to facilitate the choice and to be sure of the presence of all important accessories in the object, we have prepared a set of basic installation accessories. The basic set includes: a connection corresponding to the roof covering with a hydro and thermal insulation frame for optimal energy efficiency, as well as a vapor barrier.

Add accessories. VELUX skylights – original blinds and sunshades not only look good, but also provide heat and light regulation. On a daily basis, they help to easily control the amount of light in the room, as well as further reduce heat loss in cold weather. Connections and built-in products – basic connection set Velux EDW and EDS

1. Velux connection – connection corresponding to the type of roof covering: EDW, EDQ, EDZ, EDS or EDJ.
2. Waterproofing membrane with drainage drain BFX - ensures a hermetic connection of the skylight to the roof covering, while the drainage drains the condensate that forms under the roof covering.
3. Thermal insulation frame BDX – insulates the space around the roof window frame, reducing heat loss and preventing cold bridges.
4. Vapor barrier BBX – helps prevent moisture from entering the roof structure and hermetically connects the skylight to the existing vapor barrier.
